Laboratory Testing
ACTs
Laboratories are in a modern facility equipped with
state-of-the-art instrumentation designed to quickly and
accurately turn around large volumes of samples.
ACT has the capacity to analyze a variety of matrices including drinking water, wastewater,
groundwater, sludge, solid waste, air and soil gas using methodologies and instrumentation approved for specific regulatory requirements.
Our specialty laboratories include: gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy, gas chromatography, inorganic metals, water quality-wet
chemistry, microbiology, and aquatic toxicity.
Methodologies
The sources of analytical procedures include but are not limited to Methods for Chemical
Analysis of Water and Wastes (EPA 600/4-79-020), Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (APHA) and Test Methods for
Evaluating Solid Waste-Physical/Chemical Methods (EPA SW-846). A set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is available for each of the
laboratory areas. These SOPs are comprised of clear, complete written instructions for completing each standard test performed by ACT.
